Jerusalem, 3 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Border Police inspectors at the Ministry of Defense thwarted an arms smuggling attempt overnight at a border crossing in Samaria on Highway 5, the ministry said on Tuesday morning. A Palestinian man arriving from the east raised suspicion during a routine check. A concealed M16 rifle was found hidden inside a piece of furniture in his vehicle.
The suspect was detained and transferred to security forces for further investigation.
