Israel Destroys Rafah Tunnel Linked to Lt. Hadar Goldin, 11 Years After His Death
Israeli soldiers demolish Rafah tunnel linked to Lt. Hadar Goldin, 11 years after his death, following the return of his body. IDF takes action.
Jerusalem, 11 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Eleven years after Lt. Hadar Goldin’s abduction, and only hours after the return of his body, Israeli soldiers demolished the Rafah tunnel shaft from which he was kidnapped, the Israel Defense Forces announced on Monday, hours after Goldin’s funeral.
Goldin was killed and his body taken by Hamas on August 1, 2014 when Hamas terrorists emerged from a tunnel in Rafah and ambushed his patrol. The attack took place during a 72-hour humanitarian ceasefire. Two other soldiers were killed in the attack.
