Govt OKs: Airport Tender Issued
Israel launches tender for Tze'elim supplementary airport planning, a strategic national move led by Minister Miri Regev to strengthen aviation and the Negev.

Following government approval: The Ministry of Transportation and Netivei Israel are launching a tender for the planning of the Tze’elim supplementary airport
The Ministry of Transportation and Netivei Israel announce today (Tuesday) the advancement of the national initiative to establish the supplementary airport in Tze’elim with the establishment of a planning center for the airport. The project, which is launching after receiving government approval, will be managed by the company’s PPP division, concurrently with leading the planning of the supplementary airport in Ramat David.
The project includes providing comprehensive planning services for the establishment of the airport, as part of the national strategy to expand Israel’s aviation infrastructure. The tender (No. 37/26) will be managed using a two-stage method, setting an exceptionally high professional standard with a weight of 80% for the quality component and only 20% for the financial component. Upon selection of the planning team, the detailed planning process for the airport will commence in the locations defined by the National Council in the Negev region.
As part of the professional threshold conditions, planning offices are required to present a team including at least five licensed architects with a decade or more of experience, alongside proven experience in preparing national outline plans or national infrastructure plans.
