FM Sa’ar to depart for the US to represent Israel at the UN Security Council and the Board of Peace
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar departs for the US on Feb. 17, 2026, to represent Israel at the UN Security Council and the Board of Peace, chaired by President.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar will depart tonight (Tuesday, 17 February 2026) for the United States, ahead of a UN Security Council session and the convening of the Board of Peace, chaired by the President of the United States Donald Trump.
On Wednesday, FM Sa’ar will present Israel’s position at the ministerial-level UN Security Council session in New York, focusing on developments in the Middle East.
The Security Council session is expected to include, among others, the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
On Thursday, FM Sa’ar will represent Israel at the inaugural session of the Board of Peace, chaired by President Trump in Washington DC, where he will present Israel’s position.
