Earlier today (Wednesday), IDF forces responded to the Kerem Shalom crossing area following suspicion of a Hamas terrorist being present on the Gaza side of the crossing.

One unarmed suspect was apprehended and transferred for further investigation by security forces. The details and identity of the suspect are under examination. We emphasize that there was no infiltration into Israeli territory. The IDF was in contact with the defense authorities in the relevant communities during the incident.
