Jerusalem, 21 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Youth from Israel’s Youth Sponsorship Authority frameworks presented websites they created themselves – at the end of a “groundbreaking” technological pilot from the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) special cyber/intelligence Unit 8200 Graduates Association, where they learned to program, build websites, and use artificial intelligence.

The 8200 Alumni Association was established with the goal of harnessing the human capital and exceptional technological experience of the graduates of Unit 8200 – one of the leading units in the IDF – for the benefit of Israeli society.

The association works to promote technological education in the periphery, reduce social gaps, provide professional training for underrepresented populations, and develop innovative entrepreneurship out of belief in the power of technology to create social mobility.

The association promotes educational projects throughout the country, including the TechLift program – the flagship program in the field of technological education – which works with partners from the fields of education and care, the third sector, and industry.

As part of the course, which was held over the course of about six months, the boys met once a week for three hours at the offices of the TAKWIN venture capital fund, where they learned to develop websites using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with becoming familiar with advanced tools from the world of artificial intelligence.

Along the way, the boys, some of whom were completely unfamiliar with the world of computers, became young programmers who built functional websites, through collaboration, self-learning, and problem-solving. One of the highlights was a study tour of NVIDIA in Yokneam, where they got a glimpse into the world of high-tech.
