60,722 Foreign Workers Enter Israel in 2025
Israel's Population and Immigration Authority reports 60,722 foreign workers entered in 2025. Since the Gaza war, 116,117 new foreign workers have arrived.
Jerusalem, 30 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority reported that 60,722 foreign workers entered the country in 2025. According to the Authority’s data, since the beginning of the war in Gaza, 116,117 new foreign workers have entered Israel.
As of today, there are: 227,044 foreign workers (legal and illegal) residing in the State of Israel.
The Authority said it has been working since the outbreak of the war to provide a response to manpower needs in various sectors of the economy and to assist in maintaining functional continuity. This is done, among other things, by handling applications for the entry of foreign workers in various sectors and regulating the employment of foreign workers in all sectors of the economy.
This year, additional industries employing foreign workers were added, partly due to the cessation of the entry of Palestinian workers: renovations, trade and services, and the Israel Antiquities Authority.
