Yesterday, a unique closed-door roundtable meeting for members of the TITAN Initiative was held as part of Cyber Week in Tel Aviv, in the presence of the Director General of the israel national Cyber Directorate, Brig. Gen. (Res.) Yossi Karadi. The event was led by the National SOC of the Israel National Cyber Directorate and attended by CEOs and senior executives from dozens of the most influential and central cyber companies in the Israeli market.
The discussion focused on the shift from an individual defense approach to a collective defense model as the foundation for strengthening national cyber resilience. The initiative’s managers, Tal Avitan and Roman Simantov, presented to the forum members how the principle of information sharing has become the most effective defense mechanism today, and how joint operations and operational transparency between organizations generate significant value in preventing cyber incidents in real time.
Today, the TITAN Initiative represents the largest alliance of MSSP companies in Israel. The initiative includes 26 leading companies providing SOC-as-a-Service to more than 2,000 organizations and entities across the Israeli economy. This is an unprecedented, large-scale defense network that serves as a significant force multiplier in the fight against advanced cyber threats.
Over the past year, the initiative has helped prevent a series of major cyber incidents through advanced use of automation and artificial intelligence tools for rapid threat detection and effective response. These data and insights were presented during the meeting and demonstrated the power of combining knowledge, technology, and inter-organizational cooperation.
The TITAN Initiative was established in the wake of the “Swords of Iron” war and out of a clear strategic need to strengthen national resilience and expand Israel’s ability to להתמודד with large-scale cyberattacks. The initiative is promoted by the Israel National Cyber Directorate and is designed to unite companies that provide managed security services, with a focus on SOC-as-a-Service, operating to detect, monitor, and prevent cyberattacks across the Israeli economy.
As part of the initiative, anonymous sharing of technical information takes place between the companies and the Directorate, focusing on attacker identifiers and patterns of activity. The goal is to enable rapid, cross-sector detection of hostile activity, create a systemic “immunity,” and prevent harm to monitored organizations. The information-sharing group operates under the name TITAN – Team for Information Threat Analysis and Neutralization.
During the meeting, the importance of close partnership between the public and private sectors was emphasized as the foundation for effectively addressing evolving cyber threats, and as a reflection of the strength of the collective and the Israeli economy’s ability to unite in the face of shared challenges.
