Circular Signed Regarding Health Professions Employees at North Medical Center (Poriya)
Following professional discussions between the Salary and Employment Agreements Department at the ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health, and the management of North Medical Center (Poriya), a dedicated circular was signed for health professions employees at the new “Helmsley” Rehabilitation Center – the first of its kind in northern Israel.
The circular was developed following the establishment of the new rehabilitation center at North Medical Center, which is seen as a strategic hub for developing rehabilitation services in the north, in line with the national rehabilitation plan led by the Ministry of Health.
As part of the circular, one-time grants were approved for recruiting and retaining employees in the following fields: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and rehabilitation psychology.
The grants are intended for health professionals joining the founding team of the “Helmsley” Rehabilitation Center at North Medical Center. The incentive will range from approximately 70,000 NIS for entry-level staff to about 110,000 NIS for experienced professionals, in exchange for a five-year commitment to work at the center.
This move is designed to strengthen the medical center’s ability to recruit and retain high-quality personnel in essential professions for operating the rehabilitation center, ensuring patients receive professional, high-quality, efficient, and safe service.

The approved incentives will improve the medical center’s ability to recruit skilled personnel over the long term, ensuring continuity of care and optimal rehabilitation for patients and all residents of the north.”

The Ministry of Health is investing significant resources in advancing the field of rehabilitation, especially given the needs arising from the war. In collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, hospital management, and health funds, we are working to ensure professional, available, and high-quality medical service for all residents of the area.”
