The Wages and Labor Agreements Department at the Ministry of Finance, the Tikuma Administration, and the Ministry of Health, in consultation with the health funds, are publishing a unique incentive plan for specialist physicians who will work in the community in the Tikuma region. The goal is to strengthen healthcare services in the area and ensure professional, accessible, and high-quality medical service for all residents of the region.
The plan was formulated after joint staff work and focuses on recruiting new physicians to the Tikuma region. Within the framework of the plan, recruitment grants of up to NIS 600,000 will be awarded to new physicians employed by health funds in the Tikuma region, depending on the duration of their commitment. retention grants of up to NIS 70,000 will also be awarded to specialist physicians employed by health funds in the Tikuma region, subject to their commitment to continued employment in the area. The scope of the plan is approximately NIS 10 million over three years, from the Tikuma Administration’s budget.
It should be noted that this is a dedicated and focused incentive, which is not part of the regular salary, and is intended to address the unique challenges of the Tikuma region. The plan will come into immediate effect and constitutes an additional component in the government’s effort to strengthen the health and resilience of the Tikuma region as part of a program to make medical services in the region accessible and comprehensive, by increasing the number of physicians and improving the quality of medicine in the area.

At the same time, we are committed to retaining physicians in the area and supporting the growth of local teams, so that every resident can enjoy stable and professional medical services over time. Investment in community medicine in the area is important for the benefit of the region’s residents and for its continued development.”
