Jerusalem, 16 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel is launching six national databases in health and agriculture, backed by an NIS 44 million ($13.6 million) investment, to drive breakthroughs in medicine, farming, and artificial intelligence.
The initiative, led by the Innovation Authority, the Ministries of Economy and Agriculture, and the Tekuma Directorate, will centralize comprehensive medical and agricultural data, enabling early disease detection, personalized treatments, real-time agriculture insights, and advanced AI research.
Dror Bean, CEO of the Innovation Authority, said, “These databases are the fuel that drives artificial intelligence systems at the national level…placing Israel at the global forefront.” Universities, hospitals, health funds, and high-tech companies are collaborating to turn data into innovative solutions. Selected projects include oncology, proteomics, obesity, and precision agriculture databases, providing tools for researchers, farmers, and technology companies nationwide.
