Jerusalem, 14 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Land Authority (ILA) said it is scaling back its use of artificial intelligence in land appraisals after its Appraisers’ Bureau called to limit the system’s activity.
The AI tool, in use since 2023, significantly shortened valuation times and was recently expanded to real estate transactions.
“The systems implemented in the Israel Land Authority do not replace human professional judgment, but are merely auxiliary tools, while maintaining the principles of transparency and human control,” said ILA Director Yaakov Kvint. “Any use of artificial intelligence is accompanied by ongoing testing, risk assessments, and compliance with the policy principles established by government ministries.”
Kvint added that the Authority remains committed to responsible innovation, balancing technological progress with transparency and public interest.
