Jerusalem, 11 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Enforcement and Collection Authority Bureau in Jerusalem recently collected 73 million Shekels ($22 million) for the families of martyrs and victims of terrorism and hostilities, following seizures it imposed on Palestinian Authority funds at the Ministry of Finance. The funds were transferred to the representatives of the families of martyrs and victims of terrorism, who are the winners of the execution cases.
The funds collected as a result of the seizures imposed on Palestinian Authority funds were transferred to 11 enforcement cases, which were opened based on rulings from various courts, for terrorist incidents, including the attack on Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem in 2001, in which 11 people were murdered. Regarding this serious terrorist incident, a ruling was issued in 2024 against the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization, determining compensation for damages caused to the estates of the murdered under the Terror Victims Compensation Law, in the amount of 10 million shekels.
Another enforcement case to which funds were transferred was opened for a compensation judgment following the murder of three members of one family in a serious terrorist incident that occurred on Highway 443. The shocking murder occurred when parents, two minors, and the mother’s brother were driving on the road and a squad of terrorists opened fire on them. The parents and brother were murdered in this serious attack.
Among the additional enforcement cases in which a total of approximately 24 million shekels was collected is a case that unites 17 cases of terrorist events and attacks, headed by a case that was opened to collect compensation following the lynching in Ramallah, when two reserve soldiers entered Ramallah with their vehicle and were lynched by an angry mob. As stated, 16 cases were added to this case to collect compensation for additional attacks.
